HOUSE REFURBISHMENT

The project is a refurbishment of the ground floor of a house  located in Langley, Berkshire.

This is my parents house, and I had the opportunity to redesign the ground floor plan allowing me to restructure the architecture and interior of the space.  The floor plan is now open and there is now a continuity between the rooms and spaces. This was achieved architecturally by removing walls, maximising functionality in each room and designing an extension. I worked with Oakley Green Conservatories to design the Conservatory. The conservatory has a double glazed glass roof to allow natural sunlight in the room throughout the day. It has bi-folding doors which create an open space when used in the summer.

Careful decisions about the interior design were made to create functional and aesthetic rooms were the choices of material, colour and shape of objects work in harmony and help to create a open space. My intention behind the visual aesthetic of the room were to create a cosy and modern space.
